Privacy policy

In short: we collect only what the practice cannot run without, we pass it to no one, and we delete it at your first word. Below is the same, in the detail the law requires.

Who processes the data

The operator is Boris Ivanashchenko, the author and leader of the Fire of Ethics project. Until a public address is announced, send any request about personal data through the contact form — it reaches the founder personally, and the answer comes back the way you left your contact.

The project is based in Russia and the processing is governed by Russian law on personal data (Federal Law 152-FZ). When the project's non-profit organisation is registered, it becomes the operator and this page will be updated; the conditions themselves will not change.

What we collect and why

We do not collect and never ask for: identity document data, home address, health information, religion, political views. If you write any of that in a free diary field, that is your choice and your record; we do not analyse it.

On what ground

On your consent. You give it by ticking the box in the join or registration form, and you can withdraw it at any moment with a single message.

Who else sees it

No one except those without whom the service does not work:

Hosting. The project's server is in Russia; the data is stored there.
Mail service. Letters from the platform go through a mail provider, which sees the recipient's address and the text of the letter.
The leader of your cohort. Sees your name, your “this week was hard” mark and your diary lines — so as to write to you in time, not to grade you.

We do not sell data, do not hand it to advertising networks and do not publish it without your consent. The project's public reports carry numbers, never names.

How long we keep it

While you take part, and until you ask us to delete it. After a cohort ends your records stay available to you — the practice is longer than thirty days. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and all your records within thirty days; sign-in logs are kept for a year because they are needed for security.

Your rights

to learn what data about you we hold and to receive a copy;
to correct anything inaccurate;
to withdraw consent and demand deletion — after that participation ends, because without email a cohort cannot be run;
to complain to the supervisory authority if you believe we have broken the law.

We answer any such request within thirty days: write through the contact form.

How we protect it

The site works only over an encrypted connection; passwords are stored as irreversible hashes, never in the clear; access to the server is by key, without a password; the database is backed up daily; password-guessing attempts are throttled automatically.

Cookies and statistics

There are no analytics or advertising cookies on this site. The only cookie we set is technical: it keeps you signed in to the platform and lives for thirty days.

Children

The practice is made for adults: participation from eighteen. We deliberately do not collect children's data.
